Is there a Secret Cure for thinning hair?

If you are a woman facing this distressing situation, you may be struggling to understand why it is happening to you. You were almost certainly not expecting it to happen just yet – (if at all). After all, female hair loss is extremely rare – right? Baldness happens to men, not women! And if you’re young, the realisation that you have a growing problem can be much worse. “Hair thinning or loss after the menopause – maybe, but surely not now, not at my age.”

You are not alone

Sadly, female pattern baldness is a condition much more common than many people think. Most women can not imagine they may one day be desperately seeking some form of female hair loss treatment, that it may become a necessity for them as well as their husband or boy-friend. Female pattern baldness is not so easily recognizable as with men, at least in its early stages.

Women should not immediately be worried if they notice thinning hair at specific times like menopause or illness, or during or after pregnancy. This is often caused by a hormone imbalance that rights itself very quickly Hair Transplant Turkey.

See A Specialist first

But if you think that your thinning hair is not normal, then you should try to see a specialist for an early diagnosis. It is better to see a specialist rather than rely on a self-examination because self diagnosis is never very accurate. Professional or specialist female hair loss treatment may then be recommended.

Women do not lose hair like men, men have a more obvious thinning of their hair and they have a different hair thinning pattern (male pattern baldness). An average man’s hair begins to thin earlier than the average woman’s. For most women the onset of hair loss is around 50.

What else can it be?

If you see your hair thinning at the back and front of the scalp, this may suggest that you have Androgenetic Alopecia. When the entire scalp seems to be thinning, it is an obvious sign of the Androgenetic Alopecia.

Though I have suggested that female pattern baldness usually starts at 50, it can also start in the late teens or early twenties. Age is really no guide at all, and that is why you must see a specialist to accurately diagnose the causes of hair thinning.

Thinning hair has many causes – and many are treatable

There are also a few causes of hair loss in women that are not associated with any hair loss pattern and may not need a female hair loss treatment. They include Trichotillomania, which is caused by regular continuous hair pulling – usually habitually and unconsciously.

Then there is Alopecia Areata (thought to be an auto-immune disorder), Triangular alopecia which is usually only temporary, Scarring Alopecia, which causes scarring of the scalp, and Telogen Effluvium, which is usually hormone, drug or stress related. For all of these problems, treating the underlying condition leads to a reduction or cure for the hair loss it is causing.

A Female Hair Loss Treatment that actually works?

If you do not fall into this bracket, fear not. All is not lost! Even if you do have female pattern baldness, and you have seen a specialist and have had this condition confirmed, help is finally at hand. You can forget about wigs, floppy hats and expensive transplants.

Minoxidil and Provillus: At long last there is available a female hair loss treatment that is both effective and inexpensive. It is called Provillus for Women, and its active ingredient, monoxidil, is FDA-approved as a hair loss treatment. Also now available is the male version – Provillus for men, again with minoxidil but in a different formulation.

Remember however, Provillus for Women and Provillus for Men are different products! So if your hubby is losing his hair too, don’t even think of economizing by investing in a single tub.
